I presented our work on quality-adjusted life expectancy (QALE) at the HTAi 2026 Annual Meeting in Istanbul, Türkiye, on 9 June 2026.
The project examines how baseline health distributions can be described more accurately when equity matters. In particular, we consider heterogeneity across the population, intersectional groups, and changes in socioeconomic position over time. These issues are important for health technology assessment when distributional impacts form part of the decision-making process.
It was also a real pleasure to present this work in my home country, Türkiye.
